On March 26, the 25th China International Petroleum & Petrochemical Technology and Equipment Exhibition (CIPPE 2025) kicked off in Beijing. CNPC took center stage under the theme “Openness, Innovation, Aesthetics, and Service”, showcasing its advanced production capabilities and breakthrough technologies, including cutting-edge new energy equipment highlighting China’s growing influence in the global energy industry.
One of the event’s top honors, the CIPPE Gold Innovation Award, was presented to CNPC Engineering Technology R&D Co., Ltd. for its ultra-high temperature drilling fluid technology for 10,000-meter wells. This groundbreaking solution tackles international challenges in deep and ultra-deep drilling such as extreme high temperatures, high pressure (HTHP), and severe fluid loss. By combining innovative materials, sophisticated systems, and intelligent software, the technology ensures excellent stability and performance in harsh downhole conditions. So far, it has been successfully deployed in over 200 wells, significantly boosting China’s efforts in deep oil and gas exploration.
CIPPE 2025, a leading global event for the petroleum and petrochemical industries, hosted nearly 2,000 exhibitors from 75 countries and regions. The exhibition served as a launchpad for numerous world-first, independently developed technologies and products, drawing significant international attention.
